Visit the Three Guianas: French Guiana, Suriname and Guyana. Now you can experience these three countries in one visit! Experience many different cultures, three languages and a variety of activities within two weeks. Go on jungle hikes, experience the cultural diversity, visit authentic local villages, fly to the highest single drop waterfall in the world, see the biggest wooden city in the world and go to the space center where 85% of all telecom satellites are launched.

Day 1: Arrival in Paramaribo
After a (connecting) flight from Amsterdam you will arrive in Suriname at the J.A. Pengel International Airport. You will have a meet and greet with your guide and will be transferred to your hotel in Paramaribo.

Day 2: Visit the biggest wooden city and a historical plantation tour
After breakfast, we will go on a city tour through the historic inner city of Paramaribo. During the tour, you will enjoy the most prominent historic buildings, built from hard tropical wood, and their unique architecture. We will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites, like the Independence Square, the Palm Garden, Waterfront and the central and Maroon markets. After the city tour, we will drive to old plantation and nature park Peperpot. After this visit we drive to the pier of Nieuw Amsterdam and will go back to Paramaribo by boat. On our way, you can try to spot Pinkbelly dolphins in the Suriname river. (B)

Day 3: Suriname – Guyana: visit to Kaieteur Waterfalls (740 Ft)
In the morning, we will depart to Georgetown, Guyana, with an international flight. Today you will experience Guyana’s Crown Jewel: the majestic Kaieteur Falls. From the international airport in Guyana we will transfer to the local airport for our flight to the Kaieteur falls. This is a 50-minute flight. We will fly over Guyana’s pristine rainforest to Kaieteur Nature Park where the Kaieteur Falls are located. Kaieteur is nearly five times the height of Niagara Falls. At the falls, we hope to see the white-chinned and white-tipped swifts swirling over the gorge, as well as the astonishingly colorful Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock bird. After a two hours ground time at the falls we return to Ogle Airport and transfer to our hotel in Georgetown where we will spend the night. (B)

Day 4: Georgetown highlights and visit to indigenous village Santa Mission
We will start with a guided city tour through Georgetown, where you will enjoy the amazing Victorian style architecture and come across some beautiful scenic views. We will see the famous Parliament Buildings, where the national assembly sits, the city hall that houses the office of the City Mayor, the residences of the Head of State and the Prime Minister and a myriad of other interesting sites that characterize Georgetown as the ‘Garden City’ of the Caribbean. We will also explore the famous 24-hour Stabroek Market, called the Bizarre Bazaar, which sells everything including gold jewelry and visit the St. George’s Cathedral, which is one of the tallest wooden buildings in the world, with a height of 135 Ft. The tour will continue with visits to the Zoological Gardens and the Botanical Gardens that are full of wildlife and beautiful flora. After the tour, we will travel to the Santa Mission indigenous village by boat and experience how the Amerindians live. After this, the journey continues to Arrowpoint Nature Resort, which is named after the many Arrow Trees found in the area. There is an abundance of wildlife, including 350 species of birds. Whether it’s the thrill of bird watching, the excitement of mountain biking and kayaking, or simply relaxing in a hammock with a book, you can discover and explore nature the way you want to. The night will be spent in jungle lodges with own bad and toilet facilities. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Arrowpoint Nature Resort and return to Suriname
Today we will spend time at Arrowpoint Nature Resort, where you can enjoy several activities. Kayak in the creeks and explore wild life, watch birds, go on a mountain bike through the jungle or have a natural bath in the black water creek and get back to nature for refreshment. In the afternoon, we will go to the international airport for our evening flight back to Suriname. After arriving in Suriname, we will transfer to Berg en Dal Resort, where we will spend the night in a comfortable jungle lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 6 - 8: Maroon Culture Experience
In the morning, we will leave from Berg en Dal Resort to Upper-Suriname. You will travel to a river lodge on the Suriname River in a traditional dugout canoe. The river lodge, where we will be staying, supports and is supported by a local community. During these days, you will go on a jungle walk and visit a local village, where you can experience the authentic way of living and see the African-like culture of the maroons. At the lodge, there will also be a cultural dance performance, where women from the village will teach some cultural dances. On one evening, we will go on a night tour on the river, where we will try to spot some caimans. There will be enough time for you to relax and enjoy the serenity of the Suriname rainforest. On the third day, you will return to Berg en Dal Resort after lunch. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Brownsberg Nature Park Tour
In the morning, we will drive to the top of Brownsberg Nature Park. The mountain is 1700 Ft high and the nature park is more than 70.000 acres big. It harbors a lot of animals like monkeys, birds, deer, sloths and other mammals that you might discover them during the jungle walk. Researchers still discover new species of insects, frogs and other animals in this park. During the jungle walk we will have some amazing scenic views and you can also take a refreshing shower under one of the five waterfalls of this nature park. After a full day at the park we will return to the hotel in Paramaribo. (B/L)

Day 10: Suriname – French Guiana
Today we will drive to Albina, the border city of Suriname and French Guiana. After customs, we will continue our journey across the Marowijne river by piraque (tent boat) to St. Laurent, French Guiana. After customs in French Guiana, we will visit the transportation camp St. Laurent du Maroni, which was the main penal establishment of French Guiana for a century. After visiting the transportation camp, we will travel to Kourou and check in at the hotel, where you will spend the night. (B)

Day 11: Devil's Island
On this day, we will go to Devil’s Island in Îles du Salut with a Catamaran. The penal colony of Cayenne, commonly known as Devil's Island (Île du Diable), was a famous prison of the 19th and 20th century. Opened in 1852, it was notorious for being used for internal exile of French political prisoners during that period. You could also swim in the ocean. After the Devil’s Island tour, we will return to the hotel. (B)

Day 12: Space Center and Cayenne City Tour
At 8 am we will visit the Space Center in Kourou. The Space Center is a 700-sq. km site created in 1964 by the French space agency. This is a responsive and high-performance space center, which is among the best in the world. Almost 85% of all telecommunication satellites are launched here. There is a launch almost every 5 weeks! After the Space Center tou,r we will go to Cayenne, where we visit the highlights of the city and the heritage sites with its beautiful architecture styles. After the city tour, we will check in at the hotel in Cayenne. (B)

Day 13: Nature Reserve Marais de Kaw
After breakfast, we will travel to Marais de Kaw, a classified nature reserve. Kaw or Caux (meaning marsh in French) lies in the commune of Régina, in north-east French Guiana, on the banks of Approuague river. Here we will experience the swamps, see caimans and lots of water birds. We will travel through the swamps with a small boat to explore the sites and we might even see a capibarra or an anaconda. After the trip to Marais de Kaw, we will go back to the hotel in Cayenne. (B/L)

Day 14: Departure from Cayenne
In the morning, you are free to enjoy Cayenne and relax. At noon, we will depart to the international airport for your flight back home. (B)
