Commewijne River Cruise

The Commewijne plantation boat tour, a trip taking you back to our turbulent plantation history. We visit Fort Nieuw Amsterdam, the former plantations: Margarita, Frederiksdorp and Rust en Werk, and finish the tour with some dolphin spotting and a swim in the river.

Sailing on Suriname's beautiful grand rivers, preferably combined with lovely strolls on shore, and you will agree that this is one of the most pleasant ways to get to know the country and its history. 
Dolphin spotting is an absolute must on our comfortable tour boat the 'MI GUDU.'
Come join us and learn about our vivid and fascinating past and our interesting present. Would you prefer to stay on board during our walks? Our comfortable and cozy boat invites you to stretch out in a hammock or work on your tan on our large sunroof. Meanwhile our staff will serve you cool drinks while you relax and enjoy the views. If the drinks don't cool you down you can go for a swim in the river! We have life vests on board and, comfortable stairs to easily enter the water.
